Cherrydeck is a 3.5 years old Startup Company from Hamburg, Germany. We have an office in Hamburg, but most of our work is done remotely. Our team is small (7 people), young (average age 26), and diverse (71% female, 4 different nationalities).
We’re currently undergoing a transition into a two-sided marketplace platform, which brings exciting product changes.
About the position
You will be the only developer at Cherrydeck, as such you will have to take ownership of the existing codebase.
The position is very flexible and self-driven, this means you have to be motivated and willing to learn.

We're looking for someone who can take ownership of the technical aspects of product development.
We're a young team and as such, we value growth potential over all else. If you're not 100% comfortable with all of our tech stack, but are willing to learn and grow with us, we'd love to receive your application!
As an integral part of the team, we're looking for someone who prides themselves at being a good communicator. We operate very flexibly and every input is valued, we want you to feel comfortable with contributing to the strategic decisions of the company.
Above all, we are looking for a team-player. While you will be in charge of all technical implementation, we want you to become a valued part of our small family here at Cherrydeck.
- above industry-average salary
- Cool office in Hamburg, if you choose to work from there
- flexible work hours
- 25 days paid vacation per year (plus national holidays of your country of residency)
- fun team events (we'll fly you in if you're not located in Germany)
Clicking on ‘Apply to this Position’ will open up a Typeform with a few questions. We ask you to take your time to answer all the questions fully, and to prove that you’ve been attentively reading this job posting, please tell us your favourite Pokémon (of the original 150 of course, no need to explain why it’s your fav unless you really want to!).
Once we receive your application, we will reach out within 7 days to let you know whether we’ll move forward with it. If we do, we’ll schedule a quick call with Louis, our Head of Product, to get to know you a little better. If it’s a good fit, we’ll provide you with a short skill test (a small task that shouldn’t take more than an hour of your time). Once that is passed, we’ll do another call for you to meet the rest of the leadership team, to gauge whether it’s a good fit culturally. You can expect an offer from us within 3 days if we’d like you to join the team.
We’re looking for someone who will work with us for a long time, and because of that we want to make sure that you’re just as excited to join the team as we are about having you join it!
